Heat treatments are applied to forged components in order to improve final in-use properties. FORGE® embeds heat treatment capabilities to address multiple heat treatment processes: from austenitization to most common heat treatments, water/oil/polymer quenching including drop into the bath when applicable, spray quenching, induction hardening, carburizing, nitriding, tempering.
The heat treatment process chain can be simulated so as to obtain the final in-use properties. As an example, carburizing with subsequent quenching and tempering operation can be calculated, induction hardening followed by tempering.
