JOB DESCRIPTION

This opportunity is ideal for an IT Manager or dynamic IT systems specialist wishing to specialize in advanced systems and HPC. Based in Europe (Sophia-Antipolis, France), this position offers the chance to collaborate with developers and top-level IT engineers in major technical projects.

MISSIONS

The IT Manager’s mission is to define, implement, and supervise the company’s IT strategy. He/She will ensure the performance, security, and availability of the infrastructure while supporting the business needs of development teams and all employees.

IT Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and implement the IT strategy and policy in line with the company’s overall business objectives;
  • Define and monitor IT budgets as well as outsourcing policy (CAPEX/OPEX);
  • Conduct technology watch and propose relevant innovations;
  • Define and enforce IT policies (security, usage, GDPR);
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and external service providers.

 

Infrastructure Management

  • Supervise IT system architecture (servers, networks, cloud);
  • Ensure performance and availability of development environments;
  • Lead infrastructure projects (migration, evolution, deployment);
  • Guarantee business continuity (BCP/DRP, backup, monitoring);
  • Optimize infrastructure costs and performance.

 

Security & Compliance

  • Define and implement IT security policies;
  • Manage access and user rights;
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2…);
  • Conduct security audits and handle incidents;
  • Train and raise employee awareness of best practices.

 

IT Support & Services

  • Organize and supervise user support (L1, L2, L3);
  • Manage IT assets (workstations, licenses, telecoms);
  • Ensure onboarding of new employees;
  • Define and monitor internal SLAs;
  • Manage business process digitalization projects.

 

Team Management

  • Lead and develop the IT team (administrators, technicians);
  • Set objectives and evaluate performance;
  • Recruit technical profiles as needed;
  • Organize skills development and training;
  • Foster collaboration with development teams.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Infrastructure & Cloud

  • Proficiency in cloud architectures (AWS, Azure);
  • Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker);
  • Knowledge of networks (LAN/WAN, network security, VPN);
  • Systems administration (Linux, Windows Server);

Development & DevOps

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies;
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools (CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible);
  • Familiarity with development environments;
  • Basic knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL).

Security

  • Expertise in cybersecurity and risk management;
  • Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST);
  • Proficiency with monitoring and intrusion detection tools;
  • Identity and access management;

Project Management

  • Project management methodologies;
  • Management tools (Jira, Confluence, GLPI);
  • Budget management and reporting.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5 or equivalent minimum)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Fluent in both English and French (mandatory)
