Job Offer Physora - Industrial Project Manager

Written by Anna Fritsche | Oct 21, 2026

Job Title: Industrial Project Manager
Company: Physora - A Transvalor Company
Location: Sophia Antipolis
Contract Type: Permanent (CDI)
Status: Executive

Reporting to:
CTO

COMPANY

Physora is a young Transvalor Group company, founded in 2026 and based in brand-new offices at the heart of the Sophia Antipolis technology park. It is dedicated to developing and industrializing AI surrogate models for the numerical simulation of material-forming processes, including forging, casting, welding and heat treatment.

These models can be integrated into the Group’s digital workflow—FORGE®, DIGIMU®, REM3D®, TRANSWELD®, THERCAST® and SIMHEAT®—to reduce cycle times from hours to seconds.

They will also enable us to expand into production and quality control, with real-time prediction solutions powered by high-quality simulations from the Group’s solvers.

POSITION

You will own our first industrial deployment end-to-end — from acceptance criteria through to the production system running on site. This is not about sprint management; it is about taking ownership of an industrial project, with a customer relationship that must withstand the ordinary reality of a model being wrong in month two and right in month five.

MISSIONS

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Own the scope, acceptance criteria, and timeline for the first customer deployment, and keep all three on track in both directions.
  • Draft and own the signal interface specification — the contract between the plant and Physora: which signals, sampling frequency, timestamps, format, delivered through an OPC-UA endpoint or message broker.
  • Lead the implementation of this interface with the client's automation team or local integrator, based on the specification. Physora does not touch the PLCs. Everything above the interface belongs to us: edge inference, model serving, and delivering results to the quality engineer.
  • Lead process-specific training and validation campaigns, and define experimental plans together with the modeling team.
  • Define the acceptance metric that a quality engineer will actually be willing to sign off on.
  • Ensure on-site commissioning.
  • Act as the interface between the shop floor and the modeling team: turn “the crowns come out oval during the night shift” into something actionable for the ML team, and turn model outputs into something a quality engineer can accept.
  • Surface the requirements that will turn a project into a product.

identified boundaries and tensions

  • Delivery responsibility is single-threaded and belongs to this role. The technical veto on whether a model is ready to be presented for acceptance belongs to the R&D Director. Neither party makes the final call alone; disagreements are escalated to the CTO.
  • Commissioning periods and modeling workload peak at the same time. The schedule must account for the fact that the person on site cannot be defining training/validation campaigns during that month.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Location: Biot / Sophia Antipolis;
  • Full-time permanent contract (CDI);
  •  Occasional work from home;
  • Annual gross salary: between €54 and €79k;
  • Executive status.

OUR BENEFITS

  • An international, dynamic, and stimulating work environment;
  • A positive atmosphere within teams passionate about digital technologies and scientific research;
  • An attractive compensation and benefits package (compte épargne-temps, aide au logement, prise en charge du transport quotidien, titre restaurant, RTT, travail à domicile occasionnel).
