Our company constantly works to develop products corresponding to the industrial needs of our customers. Some of the most significant functionalities of our software have come from research programs elaborated with the CEMEF, (Center of Material Forming), with whom we are associated for many years.

Currently, one of our scientific developers in multiphysics applications works with a PhD student of the CEMEF, to develop 3D numerical modeling of ductile fracture with our software FORGE®.

Subject of the thesis: 3D numerical modelling of the damage-rupture transition applied to ductile materials.

Goals:

  • Improvement of the damage to fracture prediction models.
  • Improvement of the fracture representation by means of adaptive meshing around fracture zone and possibly bypassing the kill-element method in order to avoid artificial loss of mass.
