40th AIM National Conference
Transvalor will be participating in the 40th edition of the AIM National Conference, which will be held from September 11th to 13th, 2024, for the first time in Naples. This highly anticipated event is an unmissable opportunity for companies and researchers who are involved in the study and use of metals in various capacities.
The conference aims to provide a comprehensive overview of materials, products, processes, and technologies across different industrial sectors, and to propose innovative activities. In addition to the technical sessions, an exhibition space will be organized where companies from the various sectors represented at the conference can showcase their products and latest innovations.
PRESENTATION BY TRANSVALOR
Don't miss the presentation of Arianna Gotti, our Technical Manager, titled :
"Numerical Simulation of Macrosegration in Casting Processes with Electromagnetic Stirring Application."
SIMULATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC STIRRING WITH THERCAST®
Electromagnetic stirring (EMS) uses variable electromagnetic fields to control fluid flow in continuous casting, enhancing surface quality, standardizing thickness, increasing speed, and reducing defects like cracks and porosities. Simulating EMS with THERCAST® software optimizes stirrer placement and magnetic field strength, cutting prototyping time and costs. It allows precise control of metal flow, defect prediction, and visualization of force fields, leading to a more efficient casting process.
